Artrepublic Find Another Unique Art Print in Their Street Art Competition
After last year's highly successful Art of Hope competition, in which over 150 artists from across the country entered their graphic work, artrepublic anticipated an even more overwhelming response to their Street Art competition. And they weren't to be disappointed with what they saw.
Grant Dejonge, the originator of Lost' and conqueror of over 250 entries to the competition, was the self-confessed wild card in this year's campaign. His apparent unexpectedness to be shortlisted, let alone win, was testament to his unassuming attitude, as well as artrepublic's liberal selection process.

Have you ever been lucky enough go jewellery shopping in Melbourne? There are more jewellry designers and stores than you can even begin to imagine. You can literally spend a whole day or even a week wandering through the small lane ways and streets appreciating the handmade rings, bracelets and necklaces.
But it is the Contemporary Jewelers in Melbourne that really make Victoria a stand out. If you want a typical rings or some plain bridal jewelry then you can go to your local mall or shopping center because there will be plenty of catalogues and pieces to choose from. They will also be cheaper than the handmade stuff but if you truly want a piece of art, something that is 100% original and special I highly recommend trying to find a jewelry store that can design and handcraft a contemporary piece of original art.

The Early Years of Crocheting
Hooked rugs are one of the early American crafts made by women who had to find ways to use every scrap of material they had or that they could get there hands on . They crocheted and braided the longer pieces of fabric into rugs and they used the shorter pieces in hooked rugs. Hooks and Yarn are easily should we say misplaced from our mother or even our grandmothers , but they are also really cheap and you can get them at any of the big craft stores .

What is the History of Batik = What is Batik?
Most people have heard of Batik but many are not really aware of the process of batik or the history behind the origins of batik. Batik is an ancient craft dating back centuries and relates to hand drawing or hand painting involving wax. Wax-resist dyeing is the definition of the art of historical batik.
Wax is painted on to the fabric and the color is filled into the fabric between the wax. The instrument stated as used for this particular art form in Javanese cultures was called a canting. This is an item in design similar to a pen that was used to apply the design with the wax directly to the cloth. The wax is placed to stop the color running through to the next color of the design.
